Field Service Tech I

About the role

Anlin Windows & Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Field Service Technician I to join our team in the Sacramento and Bay Area region. In this entry-level role, you will assist in diagnosing and repairing window and door products, support customer service needs, and help ensure every job reflects our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing product issues and performing basic repairs
• Support senior technicians on larger or more complex service jobs
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members
• Follow work orders, schedules, and safety procedures
• Safely operate hand and power tools to complete repair tasks
• Accurately document service visits using company systems and mobile devices
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, service vehicles, and tools
• Ensure customer homes and job sites are left clean and restored
• Load and unload parts while helping maintain service inventory
• Learn Anlin and MITER Brands products, installation methods, and warranty standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 0–2 years of experience in window/door installation, construction, carpentry, glazing, or a related field (training provided)
• Ability and willingness to learn technical product specifications and repair techniques
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently once trained and as part of a team
• Comfortable using mobile devices (tablet/iPad) for scheduling and documentation
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry)
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record per company policy
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
