Job Summary

The EMT, under the direction of the paramedic, acts as a member of the healthcare team to perform delegated patient care duties in the department assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in accordance with paramedic direction, physician direction, and recognized techniques, standards of practices and hospital policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Required: Graduate of an emergency medical technician program.
• Experience: Preferred: Emergency Medical Technician experience.
• Certifications: Required: Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) or EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) certification; AHA BLS.
