About the role
Pelico’s value is only real if our customers’ data works — and that’s where you come in. You’ll sit at the intersection of data, product, and customer operations, owning how complex industrial data is transformed into something usable, reliable, and impactful. This is not a back-office data role. You’ll work directly with customers, solving messy, real-world data problems and ensuring our platform delivers value in live production environments.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data onboarding and transformation for enterprise customers, turning fragmented ERP and operational data into structured, usable inputs for Pelico’s platform
- Work directly with customers to understand their systems, data models, and operational constraints, translating that into scalable data solutions
- Design and build robust data pipelines and transformation logic to support complex manufacturing use cases
- Act as a key bridge between engineering, product, and customer teams, ensuring what we build actually works in production
- Debug and resolve data quality, integration, and performance issues in live environments — not just in theory
- Continuously improve internal tools, processes, and frameworks to make deployments faster, more scalable, and less manual over time
- Contribute to shaping Pelico’s data architecture and best practices as we scale globally
- Apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate data pipeline development, transformation logic, and troubleshooting
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or technical delivery roles, ideally in customer-facing environments
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with experience working with large, messy, real-world datasets
- Experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and working with cloud data environments
- Comfortable working directly with customers — you can explain technical concepts clearly and navigate ambiguous, unstructured problems
- Strong problem-solving mindset — you don’t just identify issues, you drive them to resolution
- You operate well in fast-moving environments where structure is evolving and priorities shift
- Actively embrace AI tools as part of how you work — curious about what’s possible and quick to adopt new ways of working smarter and faster
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows — whether for writing, research, analysis, coding, or productivity — and a genuine interest in staying at the frontier of what these tools can do
Qualifications
- Nice To Have: Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or manufacturing/supply chain data
