First Security Bank is seeking a professional, energetic and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Tech Center Pro. In this role, you will support and rotate through multiple departments within the Tech Center, gaining hands-on experience in operational, support, and technology-related functions. Assignments may range from short-term cross-training to longer-term placements based on business needs. This position requires on-site work.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to various Tech Center departments, including:
- Deposit Operations
- ATM/Debit Services
- ACH/Wire Services
- Item Processing
- Document Imaging
- Call Center
- Cash Management
- Internet Banking
- Fraud and BSA Compliance
- Bookkeeping
- Help Desk
- Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Adapt to various leadership styles and changing priorities to develop operational and back-office banking knowledge.
- Learn, understand, and apply bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across multiple areas.
- Assist with maintaining accurate process documentation.
- Develop proficiency in core banking systems, digital banking platforms, and other internal software applications.
- Promote a positive work environment and ensure audit controls are followed to mitigate risk.
- Protect customer information and bank operations through strict confidentiality.
- Operate office equipment (computer, telephone, scanner, copier) and internal banking systems.
- Maintain reliable transportation, punctual attendance, and ability to work on-site with extended hours when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key, and internet usage.
- Commitment to demonstrating First Security’s Core 5 values with customers and coworkers.
- Strong independent problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects accurately and timely.
- Ability to interact with and lead others calmly and professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong mathematical competency related to currency (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
- Ability to read, interpret documents, draft instructions, and articulate complex information in written or oral form.
Schedule
- Regularly scheduled hours: 40+ hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Extended working hours may be required.
Physical Demands
- Sufficient mobility to work in a standard office setting.
- Repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and finger movements for handling currency, documents, and office equipment.
- Substantial time spent on the telephone, operating computers, reaching, sitting, and/or standing; occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Ability to speak and hear well for customer interactions, conversations, and presentations.
- Near/far visual acuity to identify customers, currency, and reading materials.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
