About The Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. In this role, you will maintain and repair complex bakery equipment to maximize production uptime, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency. You’ll support safe, high-quality manufacturing through advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment optimization.

- Shift: 3rd Shift
- Weekend availability: Required (Saturday - Wednesday; Thursday and Friday off)
Pay
Hourly Rate: $33.57 - $35.32
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Execute major equipment overhauls, installations, modifications, and system upgrades.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and process control issues to support production operations.
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.
- Maintain compliance with safety, food quality, GMP, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation, measurement and control systems, electronics, mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment; or 6 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience in at least three of the following areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing process controls.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system documentation, including P&IDs, loop drawings, single-line diagrams, and machine layouts.
- Knowledge of equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency using computerized maintenance management systems and computer-based communication tools.
- Ability to operate maintenance tools, equipment, and material handling equipment safely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 4 years of experience troubleshooting PLC software, I/O systems, and field devices in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Experience working with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Food manufacturing industry experience.
- SAP knowledge and experience.
