About The Role
We are seeking a Tech 3, Bakery Maintenance to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Tech 3, you will perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and support the reliability of bakery production systems. This senior-level maintenance role is critical to minimizing downtime, ensuring safe operations, and maintaining high-performing equipment across the facility.

Hours: 2 PM – 10:30 PM
Weekend availability: Required
Pay
Hourly Rate: $36 - $37.25
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment to support high equipment uptime
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related issues
- Execute or assist with major equipment overhauls and system rebuilds
- Maintain and operate tools and machinery safely, including lifts, forklifts, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Document maintenance activities in the Maintenance Management System and communicate electronically with team members
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance work areas in compliance with GMPs, safety rules, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with production and external contractors to coordinate work and minimize disruptions
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial or manufacturing machinery, OR 5 years of equivalent experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and machine layout drawings
- Experience in at least two of the following technical areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, food manufacturing process controls
- Knowledge of equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and plan work effectively
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Advanced electrical, refrigeration, welding, boiler/air compressor, or machinist experience
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
