Tech 3, Bakery- Maintenance - 3rd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Tech 3, Bakery Maintenance to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Tech 3, you will be accountable for performing advanced preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment issues, executing or assisting with major equipment overhauls and system rebuilds, maintaining and operating tools and machinery safely, documenting maintenance activities, and collaborating with production and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on production equipment to support high equipment uptime
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and PLC-related issues
• Execute or assist with major equipment overhauls and system rebuilds
• Maintain and operate tools and machinery safely, including lifts, forklifts, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Document maintenance activities in the Maintenance Management System and communicate electronically with team members
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized maintenance work areas in compliance with GMPs, safety rules, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with production and external contractors to coordinate work and minimize disruptions

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial or manufacturing machinery, OR 5 years of equivalent experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and machine layout drawings
• Experience in at least two of the following technical areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, food manufacturing process controls
• Knowledge of equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques
• Able to prioritize multiple tasks and plan work effectively
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• Advanced electrical, refrigeration, welding, boiler/air compressor, or machinist experience
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay

Hourly Rate: $36 - $37.25

Schedule

Shift: 3rd
Hours: 10 PM – 6:30 AM
Weekend availability: Required
