About the role

This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Drug Product (DP) related systems and equipment (e.g., filling line, automated inspection line, formulation, and isolation) to meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing. The role ensures equipment operates efficiently with minimal downtime through regular inspections and preventive maintenance.

Multiple openings on second shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment within the assigned building(s).
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment malfunctions.
• Assists in the installation and commissioning of equipment, as needed.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Adheres to all safety requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) quality standards.
• Provides recommendations to develop preventative maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime.
• Performs spare parts assessments, as required.
• Notifies management or Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) when unsafe conditions or hazards are found.
• Supports site operations and emergency work orders during off-hours, as needed.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 2-4 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and programmable logic controllers (PLC) or other process control systems.
• Ability to work in a team environment with effective written and oral communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes and train others.
• Must be able to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility, including shift, on-call, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Prior maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• May work in environments requiring respiratory protection.
• May work in mechanical/production spaces requiring hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle or Powered Industrial Truck.
• Ability to discern audible cues and inspect tasks with 20/20 corrected vision, including color distinction.
• Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, or ramps.
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods (up to 60 minutes).
• Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to operate machinery and/or power tools.
• Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, push, pull, reach (18” to 60” in height), and use twisting motions.
