About the role

The team leader/staff member is responsible for the management and supervision of the accommodation and care of unaccompanied minors (UAM) in organizational, administrative, and pedagogical matters. They plan and control bed allocations, develop and further develop a comprehensive concept for the reception institution taking into account the characteristics of the target group, legal framework conditions, and procedural regulations. They also represent the leadership of the Children and Youth Welfare Service and oversee, coordinate, and network with internal and external cooperation partners in their field. Public relations: responsive to relevant stakeholder groups such as the police, the Ordinance Office, community associations, and city district coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and supervision of the accommodation and care of unaccompanied minors (UAM) in organizational, administrative, and pedagogical matters.
• Planning and control of bed allocations.
• Development and further development of a comprehensive concept for the reception institution considering the characteristics of the target group, legal framework conditions, and procedural regulations.
• Representation of the leadership of the Children and Youth Welfare Service.
• Overseeing, coordinating, and networking with internal and external cooperation partners in their field.
• Public relations: responsive to relevant stakeholder groups such as the police, the Ordinance Office, community associations, and city district coordinators.

Requirements

• A completed degree in social pedagogy or social work (Diplom [FH] or Bachelor's degree) or a corresponding study program.
• Comprehensive knowledge in children and youth welfare, particularly in reception forms under Article 42 and 42a of the Social Code VIII, child protection, and educational assistance.
• Experience in organizing stationary youth welfare services, leading teams of pedagogical professionals, and organizational development.
• Worthy, resource-oriented pedagogical basic attitude and intercultural social competence.
• A self-reliant, accountable, and goal-oriented working style.
• Negotiation skills, conflict resolution, and perseverance abilities, as well as time flexibility.
