Team Performance Lead

Responsibilities

• Proactively take actions to minimize scrap, spoilage, customer returns, and direct teams to ensure that quality indicators are tracked and up to date
• Audit standards, update shift production targets, ensure service functions (For Example: Warehouse, Core Cutting, Plate-making, Supply Depot, Maintenance) do not impact shift productivity, and potentially be available as back-up or extra manpower to prevent line stoppage
• Lead and direct teams to ensure proper line balancing and take appropriate action to meet business needs
• Train and develop team members through Single Point Lessons (SPLs)
• Prepare and start up production meetings for the shift
• Facilitate real-time root cause problem solving and ensure escalation protocols are followed (linking support functions)
• Develop team maturity: coach and counsel teams through accountability matrix, motivate team to achieve goals, and ensure effective team communication
• Assist management in assessing individual and team performance and development
• Support and champion business decisions
• Direct individuals and/or teams regarding immediate actions when necessary to meet Safety, Quality, or Productivity measures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment
• Experience leading a team and/or supervising employees, preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player
• Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word) is required
• Demonstrated safety commitment
• Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks
• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
• Able to assist and support Lean initiatives within the department
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
