$18.00/hr – Weekend availability required for 6/8-hour shifts. Team members are classified as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly based on theatre needs and employee availability. Primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Box Office
- Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons with accuracy
- Upsell and suggestively sell Premium Viewing Experiences (3D, RPX, IMAX)
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program
- Sell tickets in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy
- Respond to phone calls and guest questions consistent with guest service philosophy
- Concession
- Operate POS system, handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, redeemed coupons, and concession stock inventory
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession-related equipment
- Upsell and suggestively sell concession items
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
- Abide by federal and state laws regarding breaks and meal periods
- Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, must be of legal age according to state or local laws
- Usher
- Tear tickets, collect and deposit stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats
- Enforce MPAA rating system
- Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, prevent theft, and maintain a safe environment
- Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management
- Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management
- Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas
- Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management
- Act as a representative of Regal, consistent with mission statement and policies
- Handle emergency situations when called upon
- Perform general cleaning duties
- Comply with company dress code
- Required to read and understand training materials on subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination
- Regular and consistent attendance required
Requirements
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier, or progress toward completion
- If assigned to sell/serve alcohol, complete legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate, plus Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University
Qualifications
- Language Ability: Possess good public speaking skills, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly
- Math Ability: Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, identify and correct errors
- Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, and reach evidence-based conclusions; take action beyond what is necessarily called for; perform under pressure and/or opposition
- Personal Skills: Excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management; establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve objectives
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- May occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
