About the role

You will memorize the training material and explain the health benefits of ingredients and food to customers in an upbeat, informative manner. The position involves maintaining cleanliness in the front lobby, outside area, and kitchen, preparing food according to proper procedures, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep the front lobby and outside area clean
• Provide excellent customer service, including being positive, polite, and informative, and giving accurate wait times
• Assist and ring up guests, answer phone calls, and take orders over the phone
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and recipes; follow recipes and prepare food in a timely, sanitary manner
• Prep food according to proper procedures
• Continuously and thoroughly clean the kitchen and lobby
• Put away deliveries and maintain organization
• Wash dishes and put them away
• Communicate with staff to ensure orders are made correctly and on time
• Carry food to customers
• Communicate with managers about scheduling, including requesting days off in a timely manner
• Show up on time and take breaks of appropriate length
• Complete all opening and closing duties
• Perform additional tasks requested by your manager
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines
• Stock and rotate food
• Practice cost-cutting measures
• Work as a team and pitch in where needed
• Track food quality
• Handle special circumstances
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers

Requirements

• Become food certified
• Ability to use a basic computer, POS system, handle cash, and process credit card transactions
• Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
• Ability to stand for long periods, occasionally lift heavy boxes, move quickly, and maintain a sense of urgency
• Maintain a clean and work-appropriate personal appearance
• Come to work with a positive attitude and willingness to work well with others
