Team Manager Developmental
About the role
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly Associates in assigned area by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, promoting a belonging mindset, and providing recognition. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws regarding selection, recruiting, record retention, and training.
Manages financial performance by creating budgets for sales, expenses, and wages; monitoring club indexing; and ensuring budgeted targets are achieved. Oversees staffing levels, scheduling, and training to meet member needs while driving sales through effective merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, and inventory management.
Ensures membership growth by building relationships with Members, making business visits, and training associates. Oversees food safety standards, cold chain compliance, and merchandise quality, including temperature storage, sanitation, and product rotation.
Coordinates job-related activities, supports business initiatives, and fosters accountability and continuous improvement. Promotes company mission, values, and ethical standards while ensuring a culture of belonging and high performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop hourly Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
- Hold Associates accountable by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and ensuring quality assurance standards.
- Manage financial performance by creating and monitoring budgets, achieving sales and profit goals, and scheduling staff to meet member needs.
- Collaborate with management to ensure smooth opening and closing procedures, address merchandising opportunities, and escalate issues as needed.
- Enhance Member experience through effective merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, proper signage, and inventory management.
- Drive sales by assessing economic trends, stocking and rotating merchandise, and monitoring expenses.
- Enforce food safety standards, including temperature storage, sanitation, and product rotation.
- Coordinate job-related activities, build stakeholder relationships, and support business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, mission, and values while fostering a culture of belonging and integrity.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and talent development to achieve business goals.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of college; OR
- 1 year’s retail experience with 6 months’ supervisory experience; OR
- 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR
- 1 year’s SAM’S Club experience; OR
- 3 years’ military experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Environmental Compliance or related field.
- Retail profit and loss statement management experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Warehouse experience with cold chain compliance.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $95,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location.
