Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field and five years in increasingly responsible positions with at least one year supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DDA regulations.
  • Experience in and commitment to delivering supports that promote self-determination and full participation of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of their community.
  • Proven ability to foster working relationships with individuals, families, providers and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and initiative.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Word and Excel).
  • Ability to provide effective leadership for team through fostering collaboration, team building and negotiating skills.
  • Must have access to a reliable automobile and a valid driver’s license; must provide verification of a good driving record and automobile insurance upon request and maintain such throughout employment.

Administrative Position Description

  • Develop and implement systems to ensure efficiency of assigned Team and Program activities.
  • Ensure integrity of consumer files and documentation of program services; implement system for bi-annual review of individual records, ensuring staff compliance with required documentation and timelines.
  • Work with staff and Management Teams to identify, plan and deliver training for consumers, families, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Cook up compilation of Continuous Quality Improvement data for assigned Team.
  • Remain informed as to DDA initiatives that influence service delivery and expand opportunities for the persons we serve; help to identify and resolve gaps in service delivery, for individual as well as global needs.
  • Work with management team to ensure communication about and resolution of issues as they arise.
  • Work with individuals and families to resolve concerns or dissatisfaction with services.

Staff Support And Supervision

  • Ensure that assigned staff are provided with sufficient information, training, and tools to accomplish job functions in the most effective manner.
  • Oversee day-to-day program activities of assigned Team.
  • Cook up coordination and assistance with orientation for new staff.
  • Organize and lead regular meetings with assigned staff to facilitate communication, ensure adequate team performance, and offer needed support/assistance.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
  • Process timesheets, mileage sheets, leave request forms, and training information for assigned staff.
  • Work with Management Team to resolve staff grievances in accordance with agency policy.
  • Aid staff with crisis or complex case management issues, ensuring ongoing progress reports to the Program Director.

Perform other duties as requested from time to time that are not specifically listed but are consistent with the position and skills of the incumbent and necessary for efficient and effective operation of the agency.
