Team Leader I (5:00am-1:30pm) Cable Accessories

About the role

This role supports Production Leads, Supervisors, and Managers with daily management in the day-to-day activities to ensure products and services are delivered on time to customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading employees within an area of responsibility on a variety of processes and operations
• Aid in the training and development of production team members
• Work with operations and cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production challenges
• Manage and requisition shop supplies and tools to ensure availability and limit production disruptions
• Support and identify improvements to standard production work processes and work with the Training Support Coordinator to implement changes
• Evaluate demand of parts jobs and coordinate delivery
• Support and manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
• Initiate corrective actions when necessary
• Research missing parts, investigate, cycle count, reconcile, and disposition inventory
• Work with warehouse and purchasing staff to resolve parts shortages and discrepancies
• Investigate work order and inventory discrepancies to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions
• Assist material handlers in daily tasks
• Support continuous improvement projects
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned
• Communicate effectively with others at various levels of the organization

Requirements

• Self-starter with high degree of motivation
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Good analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge and experience in ERP or MRP business systems
• Experience working in a team setting
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organization and follow-up skills
• Experience using small hand and power tools
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of work experience and skill development
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings and bills of materials and work instructions
• Experience with the JD Edwards business system

Qualifications

• Physical Demands: Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL)
• Lifting Demands: Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis, lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis, carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, push/pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis, push/pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance
• Postural Demands: Standing – continuous, Walking – continuous, Bending/stooping – frequent, Squatting/kneeling – frequent, Lifting – frequent
• Miscellaneous Demands: Griping, manipulation, fingering – continuous, Variable hand/power tool use – frequent

Pay

The pay range is typically between $26.25 - $27.75 per hour. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
