Position Summary
The Packaging Center Team Lead is responsible for providing direction to the Packaging Center team members at the Red Arrow location. This role works cross-functionally to ensure all work orders are correctly dropped, picked, packed, and shipped in accordance with operational deadlines and customer requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Create and communicate the Packaging Center daily plan including daily goals and job assignments.
- Create a positive team environment.
- Cookordinate all daily work order tasks.
- Oversee the daily work balance of work orders.
- Provide mentoring and coordinate training of new and current team members on proper process/procedures and associated changes.
- Provide feedback to Packaging Center Manager on team member performance.
- Ensure work orders are dropping correctly and follow up on problem work orders.
- Investigate inventory issues and correct issues.
- Work in team environment.
- Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, policies, training, and regulations.
- Ensure established policies and procedures are followed.
- Participate in continuous improvement project team activities.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Two to three years of inventory or related experience is required.
- A powered industrial truck (PIT) license (forklift license) or the ability to obtain a PIT license is required.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related equipment and software (IRMS, SxE, etc…).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data.
- Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, managers, leads, and peers.
- Excellent organization skills with superior attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Willing to participate in Company designated training.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision/guidance.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Demands
- This is an office type position and a general warehouse position that requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and using hands continuously for eight hours.
- This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds.
- This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs.
- This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends.
- This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
