Packaging Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Covershift Supervisor’s packaging needs on production equipment
• Affixes all lines with necessary materials such as foil, cartons, trays, etc.
• Assists Packaging Operators as needed to maintain a smooth workflow
• Installs and operates various packaging machines, including carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters, top closers, and palletization equipment
• Ensures labels align correctly with products in facilities requiring manual labeling
• Supports troubleshooting and training initiatives for Packers
• Audits packer standard work and completion
• Audits packer quality checks and completion
• Performs housekeeping duties

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 6 months of Packaging Operator experience preferred
• Some lead experience preferred
• Good mechanical skills
• Capable of lifting 55 pounds and standing for a minimum of 12 hours
• Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
