Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure plant safety and 5S standards are met.
- Direct the work of molding operators, both full time and temporary.
- Train and support Molding team members and provide performance feedback.
- Monitor and report time, attendance, and overall performance of operators working in molding department and report to Molding Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Communicate production needs to operators working in molding department.
- Ensure labels and skid tickets match count of components.
- Inspection of 'First Piece' finished product for quality assurance.
- Verification of BOM (Bills of Materials) for each all presses and molding assembly cells.
- Absorb and ensure all processes meet standard (labor, cycle time).
- Assist with Daily Reconcile of labor efficiency.
- Process non-conforming and excess materials in a timely manner.
- Attend daily production meetings for schedule review.
- Assist with daily production reporting.
- Afford assistance with and ensure daily housekeeping is completed within molding department.
- Train as supervisor back up.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of manufacturing experience
- Lead and/or supervisory experience
