TEAM LEAD - Fast-track to Management - Entry-Level Manager

Reports to: Club Manager. Status: Full Time / Non‑Exempt.

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting in the oversight of gym operations to ensure a positive member experience and a financially successful club.

Responsibilities

• Assist in member service oversight, ensuring all staff provide great customer experiences.
• Handle front‑desk tasks, greet and meet potential members, and provide gym tours.
• Facilitate member service issues and answer questions.
• Provide backup support to the Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the gym.
• Help manage marketing efforts, ensuring staff are aware of and trained on current promotions.
• Assist in ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and tracking related reports.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Physical demands: standing and walking at least 75 % of the shift; talking in person or on the phone at least 75 % of the shift; able to lift up to 50 lb less than 30 % of the time.

Advancement Opportunities

The Team Lead position is a developmental role in the manager pipeline, the first step along the progressive “Purple Path” toward becoming a Club Manager. Team Leads learn the Planet Fitness culture while building leadership and development skills. Those who successfully complete the Team Lead program may advance to Manager in Training and, subsequently, to Club Manager.
