Team Lead - Composites

About the role

The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, is seeking a Team Lead to join their growing Oil & Gas Division. This role plays a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring parts meet work order specifications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical resource for operators.
• Train and develop less experienced operators with the help of the Value Stream Manager (VSM).
• Complete work order paperwork and maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Operate machines like saws, winders, manual mills, lathes, routers, and more.
• Conduct in-process inspections according to standard procedures.

Requirements

• A technical degree and 2+ years of experience preferred, or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Intermediate math skills & aptitude.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand drawing and blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring instruments accurately and effectively.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Preferred

• Prior experience in a manufacturing industry.

Work Environment

This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
