Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead at Rack Room Shoes assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations while ensuring 100% compliance with established Company policies and procedures. They provide leadership, guidance, and training to the store staff, assuming full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff members.
• Manage customer issues with a sense of urgency and to the satisfaction of our customers.
• Conduct all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Manage sales, discounts, and refunds.
• Execute loyalty program operations, open/closing procedures, and inventory control.
• Adhere to policies and procedures related to shipping and receiving, price management, damaged merchandise handling, and conducting physical inventories.
• Ensure sales floor merchandising and visual presentation align with company standards.
• Direct, maintain, and clean the sales floor.
• Coordinate promotional events, materials, and signage.
• Manage payroll control, including scheduling, budget compliance, time & attendance.
• Train and develop direct reports, reinforcing customer service standards.
• Support loss prevention efforts to protect and control Company assets.

Qualifications

• An approved background check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Managerial and organizational skills.
