About the role
We are a community-focused child care center where we prioritize the well-being of children and their families, as well as our team members. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment that fosters learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care.
- Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation.
- Classroom instruction is at least 50% of the weekly schedule.
- Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support the center's success.
- Mentor new hires and fellow teachers by creating fun, interactive learning experiences.
- Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
Requirements
- Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
- College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA, preferred.
- The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
- Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
