Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of Career Advisors staff who work in an integrated service delivery model.
- Assess, manage, and maintain a caseload of new customers as well as carryover participants, track customers’ progress in training and job search activities on a monthly basis.
- Case notes all interactions with customers.
- Develop and implement casework service plans for complex cases and assist Career Advisors to remove customer barriers.
- Develops and implements strategies to incorporate a focus on performance objectives in the daily operations of organizational staff.
- Helps drive customer success and positive outcomes for contractual measures.
- Provides training and career coaching on assessments to help establish career goals aligned with the skill needs of area business and industry.
- Prepares and presents reports of activities and accomplishments.
- Generate and perform staff evaluations.
- Provide leadership and direction to maximize performance forecasting and to ensure financial sustainability and success.
- Support Executive Director in day-to-day operations, program development, and staff development.
- Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset.
Requirements
Associate’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; Experience and knowledge of WIOA and workforce development contracts/programs; Ability to give presentations and workshops (public speaking); Demonstrated ability to be highly detail oriented in order to successfully meet program requirements; One year of experience working with unemployed and underemployed individuals; Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; A Valid Driver’s License.
