About the role
Assist the Supervisor in the coordination, facilitation and motivation of the activities of all assigned employees to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost, lean and efficiency goals. Lead by example in areas such as safety, ethical standards, attendance, sense of urgency, team philosophy, initiative, quality assurance, standard work, 5-S, product knowledge, positive attitude, interpersonal communication skills and professional presence.
Schedule
This is a 3rd Shift position, working Monday through Thursday, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Danfoss safety initiatives and regulations, including eye safety, hearing conservation, machine guarding, ergonomic practices, lockout/tagout, SDS procedures, OSHA requirements, and Environmental Health & Safety programs.
- Support Engineering Labor Standards, Quality Standards, and other Danfoss policies, programs, and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a lean culture philosophy.
- Assist the Supervisor in planning and managing personnel, technology, and materials; support meetings (safety, start-up, 2nd tier, Continuous Improvement Team, etc.); and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Communicate and collaborate with peers, supervisors, and engineers to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, standard work compliance, and achievement of departmental, plant, division, and corporate goals.
- Provide employee coaching, training, and skill development; lead by example to build a cohesive, improvement-oriented team and maintain a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Review PC boards, audit standard work, assist in assessing and diagnosing production-related issues, meet supervisor-established standards, and perform other related duties and assignments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years’ manufacturing or repair experience in similar manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Drive for results
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Vocational School training, which includes comparable experience.
- Experience with ERP systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands for tools and small components
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50lbs regularly
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to stoop, kneel and crawl for certain tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Works in a production environment where inattention could cause injury
- This is a safety sensitive position. This position is classified as Safety-Sensitive under the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act.
