About the Role
The Account Coordinator – Team Lead assists the Vice President of Client Services, Director of Client Services, Manager of Client Operations, and Account Managers with plan implementation for new clients and the overall servicing of account issues for existing clients. For new clients, the Team Lead supports Account Managers in coordinating plan implementation by producing and compiling educational materials. The role also involves working closely with internal staff to communicate service issues, resolve claim payment issues, and serve as the in-house client contact when the Account Manager and Client Service Representative are unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination of new group implementations and servicing of account issues for existing clients and brokers.
- Produce educational materials and resolve claims/service issues.
- Provide administrative support to the Client Services department.
- Communicate plan design changes, renewal updates, and other relevant information to internal staff to ensure smooth plan operations.
- Supervise and train the Account Coordinator team.
- Assign projects to the Account Coordinator team.
- Work with the Director of Client Services and Vice President of Client Services to report escalations.
- Identify areas of opportunity and concern within the team.
- Track and maintain a PTO tracker for the team.
- Coordinate with the Vice President and Director to approve PTO for all Client Services staff, including Account Executives (AEs), Account Managers (AMs), and Account Coordinators (ACs).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Two or more years of related work experience (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Flexible schedule to participate in employee benefit fairs, which may begin and end prior to core business hours.
- Ability to travel within the New England area as required for employee benefit fairs.
- Strong coordination skills with both management and subordinates.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and accurately.
- Effective prioritization and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to anticipate systems interactions and follow through on tasks.
- Ability to work within specified timeframes and meet deadlines.
- Experience maintaining confidentiality of work materials.
- Healthcare industry experience (a plus).
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
