About the role
This is an entry-level role that performs specific tactical sales functions through cross-functional management of multiple internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and customer service support to Senior Account Executive in the management of account operations.
- Submits pricing information to customers and inputs pricing/stickering information in the distribution system.
- Tracks and monitors inbound and outbound shipments, processes promotional orders, and tracks placement reports.
- Validates department profile information, updates profiles in distribution systems, and communicates changes to field managers.
- Serves as the primary liaison with field managers to provide merchandising plans, customer information, and general support.
- Engages in frequent communication with ReaderLink retail customers.
- Works closely with the account management team and supports other internal departments to meet customer expectations.
- Quickly assesses customer inquiries or account tasks, determines solutions or needed information, and owns the process through completion and follow-up.
- Produces ad hoc sales reports and stock-level information.
- Assists in the creation of presentations and sales analysis as needed.
- Proactively manages a list of tasks and scheduling.
- Multi-tasks, meets deadlines, and manages the needs of the account management team and other internal and external groups, including managing multiple accounts under different team leaders.
- Performs other duties as assigned, directed, or requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general educational development (GED) diploma or certificate is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- Strong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, flexibility, and efficiency.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects/requests.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for in-person, phone, email, and presentations.
- Fast learner, team player, and aggressive problem solver.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to create and write reports.
- Proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to perform algebra, calculate figures and amounts, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving variables.
Work Environment
- The work is performed in an office environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Pay
$20.00/hour - $23.00/hour
