Team Coordinator - Film Room - Per Diem
Responsibilities
- Enters outside patient imaging into electronic patient record.
- Works closely with Radiologists, oncologists from other departments and staff to identify needs, answer questions, resolve problems, provide information and follow up.
- Communicates with providers, technologists, and nurses regarding patient imaging needs, and additional requests. Notifies appropriate parties as needed.
- Answers phones and triages calls from other departments. Calls patients and outside facilities as needed.
- Requests outside prior imaging and reports for comparison for the Radiologist.
- De-identifies patient imaging to be submitted for research studies.
- Sends requested electronic patient images to outside facilities.
- Supports the overall function of the Medical Imaging department, and may be required to take on additional duties such as data collection, special projects, etc.
- Affords assistance to new staff.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Ability to work independently, organizing, and prioritizing concurrent responsibilities and demands.
- Ability to work in a high pressure, time-sensitive, and complex health care environment.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and empathy in an emotionally challenging environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS).
- Previous medical office/hospital experience coordinating physician appointments and patient services preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Prior experience utilizing an electronic medical record system and/or an automated scheduling system.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is from $29.57 to $42.13, which includes the per diem differential, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
