Morgridge College of Education seeks adjunct instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach graduate courses in the Teaching and Learning Sciences department, Curriculum and Instruction program. Courses vary; details are available on the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes. This posting covers multiple openings throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate-level courses
- Collaborate with faculty course lead to adapt and deliver course content
- Create and maintain the course Canvas container
- Meet with students as needed and respond to student communication in a timely manner
- Assign papers, exams, and other deliverables as appropriate
- Grade student work in a timely manner
- Maintain regular communication with the faculty lead, particularly regarding student-related issues
Requirements
- Master’s or terminal degree (depending on the course)
- Teaching experience in a K-12 setting OR higher education
- Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in both K-12 and higher education settings
- Experience with inclusive pedagogy and a commitment to inclusion
- Experience using technology to facilitate adult learning
Pay
$1,290 per credit hour taught. The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate at the time of posting. The final salary will be determined based on qualifications, departmental budget, internal salary equity, market information, and course enrollment.
