This posting is for multiple adjunct instructor openings in the Teaching and Learning Sciences department, Teacher Education Program at Morgridge College of Education for the 2026-2027 academic year. Courses may vary; details can be found on the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate-level courses
- Collaborate with faculty course lead to adapt and deliver course
- Create and maintain course Canvas container
- Meet with students as needed
- Respond to student communication in a timely manner
- Assign papers, exams, and other deliverables as appropriate
- Grade in a timely manner
- Maintain regular communication with the faculty lead, particularly if a student-related issue arises
Requirements
- Master’s or terminal degree (depending on the course)
- Teaching experience in K12 setting OR higher education
- Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level
- Content expertise (depending on the course — e.g., CLDE, GT)
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in both K12 setting and higher education
- Experience with inclusive pedagogy and commitment to inclusion
- Experience using technology to facilitate adult learning
Pay
$1,265 per credit hour taught.
