What will you be doing?
- Carry out teaching to support undergraduate degree programs in Physiological Science, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, and related degrees including Biomedical Science and professional health programs.
- Demonstrate in practical classes (including leading some classes), lead small group tutorials, support simulation teaching, and supervise group projects.
- Assess coursework and end-of-unit assessments.
- Contribute to the maintenance and delivery of online teaching materials via systems like Blackboard and eBiolabs, and support student learning through sessions such as feedback cafes.
- Opportunities to engage in outreach and other education-related activities.
Requirements
- A strong background in physiology, pharmacology, or neuroscience.
- An individual seeking to gain extensive teaching experience at the beginning of their academic career.
- Recent research experience (PhD or higher) or relevant clinical experience at a junior level with educational experience.
- A good knowledge across all aspects of physiology, pharmacology, or neuroscience up to second-year undergraduate level.
- A commitment to teaching demonstrated through previous roles, with a teaching qualification (or evidence of working towards one) related to higher education and an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with a PhD (or close to completion) or a relevant clinical qualification (MBChB/MBBS/BDS/BVSc or equivalent).
