Teaching Assistant (TA) K-2 – SY 2026/2027

Responsibilities

• Aid teachers in implementing content area curricula.
• Guide and assist students in the classroom in following the teacher's instruction and school/program rules.
• Provide necessary accommodations to meet individual, group, and program needs.
• Create a supportive learning environment.
• Support children in daily movement-based activities including sensory breaks, PE, and recess by modeling and guiding actions.
• Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
• Document student progress through written notes and narrative reports.
• Provide hygiene support as needed.

Requirements

• MUST have a Bachelors Degree.
• Experience with students with learning disabilities, Autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or other health impairment preferred.
• Experience working with young children (ages 3 - 8) is a plus.
• Knowledge of education and behavior management methods, procedures, and techniques helpful.
• Must be reliable, maintain a professional attitude, and be team oriented.
