Duties
Teaching Assistants provide small and large group instruction, remediation, and support.
Teaching Assistants provide input into the planning process, maintenance of student records, and student progress.
Qualifications
- NYS certification: Teaching Assistant or Childhood Education 1-6 and/or SWD 1-6
- Ability to use Instructional Technology to improve student performance and address professional responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues
- Desired: Literacy and/or Special Education certifications preferred
- Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate level
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic; ability to differentiate instruction to support all learners
- Experience with iReady math, UFLI, Magnetic Reading and differentiation
- Experience using data driven instruction to improve student achievement
- Experience working with students with disabilities
Pay
$29,471 per GITA contract
