Full-time Teaching Assistant

About The Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Assistant Teacher to support our infant through 6-year-old mixed-age classroom. The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and passionate about working with children of all ages. This role provides a wonderful opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a Montessori-inspired setting while making a meaningful impact in children's lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with caring for infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
• Support toddlers and preschoolers in daily activities and routines
• Help maintain a calm, engaging, and organized classroom environment
• Encourage positive social interactions and model respectful behavior
• Engage children in hands-on learning, play, and outdoor activities
• Aid in classroom organization, meal/snack times, and clean-up
• Work closely with lead teachers and other staff to create a positive learning atmosphere

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old
• Passion for working with young children in a nurturing environment
• Ability to multitask and adapt to different age groups throughout the day
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn Montessori methods and philosophies
• KDHE Foundations of Health and Safety Course (Training provided)
• CPR & First Aid Certification (Training provided)
