About the role
A teaching assistant is needed for an infant classroom. The position is 29.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks
- Change diapers
- Assist with daily reports
- Record attendance
- Engage in play
- Absorb children to sleep
- Create a safe environment
Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Prefer candidate with CDA or Associates in Early Childhood
- Clear BCSC criminal background check
- TB testing, drug screening, digital fingerprinting, and health physical upon employment
- CPR/First Aid training
Qualifications
- Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing for 90% of the workday
- Frequent moving between sitting and standing
