Teacher - Spanish - Middle School (LTS)

About the role

Centrally located on Interstate 94 less than 25 miles northwest of Maple Grove and 30 miles southeast of Saint Cloud, Monticello is home to five brick and mortar schools and two nature-based facilities serving more than 4,000 students annually. Monticello consistently ranks in the top 50 school districts in the state as measured by a number of organizations and metrics, and performs above the state average in graduation rates, test scores, and early college opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to middle school students
• Provide English Learner (EL) support
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to plan lessons
• Function as a team player within the school community

Requirements

Current secondary Spanish teaching license for the State of Minnesota

Skills

• Understanding of the Minnesota Academic Standards for the content area
• Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs, and strategic plan of the district
• Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
• Maintains confidentiality of information about students, staff, and families
• Experience working with diverse students and families; experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred

Pay

Rate of Pay: 0.60 FTE of $258/day
