Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities
  • Use procedures to post syllabus, projects/lessons, and grades to the server
  • Maintain a classroom environment consistent with established codes of conduct
  • Exercise open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff
  • Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements
  • Communicate electronically with students, parents, and other staff members
  • Attend conferences and workshops to advance professional development
  • Work cooperatively with other personnel to improve instructional programs and the overall operation of the school
  • Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students

  • Frequently talk or hear
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Indiana State Teacher's License or eligibility for a license for corresponding age/grade level
  • 2 years of teaching experience
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and students
  • Experience developing and implementing curriculum
  • Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the room
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum
