Teacher III (Full Time) Days

About the role

Responsible for the development, implementation and carry through of age appropriate curriculum utilizing Project Construct Indicators, Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Accreditation Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the ability to understand each child's individual needs as well as the group.
  • Assists each child in becoming an integral member of the group.
  • Provides opportunities for children to construct their own knowledge through exploration and play experiences.
  • Provides a smooth coordination of staff/child interaction and activities appropriately.
  • Adaptations are provided when necessary to meet the individual learning style of each child.
  • Relates to children in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Responsible for the supervision and management of assigned classroom while providing a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be registered with the State of practice Family Care Safety Registry within 15 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • 1 year child care experience preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an early childhood setting preferred.
