Teacher I (Full Time) Days
About the role
Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of age-appropriate curriculum using Project Construct Indicators, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, and Accreditation Standards. Demonstrates the ability to understand each child's individual needs as well as the group, assisting each child in becoming an integral member of the group. Provides opportunities for children to construct their own knowledge through exploration and play experiences. Ensures smooth coordination of staff/child interaction and activities, with adaptations provided to meet individual learning styles. Relates to children in a positive and respectful manner. Supervises and manages the assigned classroom while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Performs duties in alignment with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must register with the State of practice Family Care Safety Registry within 15 days of hire.
Qualifications
- 1 year of child care experience preferred.
- Experience working with children in an early childhood setting preferred.
