Teacher II (Full Time) Days

About the Role

Plan and execute the classroom program tailored to the developmental level of the children. Embrace and implement the philosophy of the Child Development Center and the policies of the Health System. Perform related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a classroom curriculum appropriate for children’s developmental stages.
  • Uphold the philosophy and policies of the Child Development Center and Mercy Health System.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Utilize equipment such as televisions, VCRs, and filmstrip projectors for educational purposes.

Requirements

  • Education: CDA credential, 9 college credit hours in early childhood education, an Associate’s Degree, or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Complete at least 12 clock hours of approved child-care related training annually.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in early childhood education (preferred with a degree).
