About the role

An exciting opportunity for individuals who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, high energy level, creativity and the ability to teach all levels of music; specifically general music with the opportunity for elementary instrumental. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and the ability to teach all levels of elementary school music. The ability to create a positive, enthusiastic, dynamic classroom atmosphere implementing cooperative learning and participation in classroom activities is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Teach general music and elementary instrumental instruction
• Develop and deliver curriculum for all levels of elementary school music
• Foster a positive, enthusiastic, dynamic classroom environment
• Implement cooperative learning strategies and encourage student participation
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities

Qualifications

• Connecticut Teaching Certificate #049 Music PK‑12

Pay

Salary in accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Education Association of Cheshire.

Schedule
