About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE non-continuing leave replacement position for a General Music Teacher at Spruce Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. The position supports students participating in the Edmonds School District Dual Language Program, a bilingual model aiming to develop bilingualism, biliteracy, and academic achievement in both English and Spanish.

Required Qualifications

  • A Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Music endorsement, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.
  • Spanish proficiency preferred for instruction within the Dual Language Program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting students in bilingual or dual-language settings.
  • Completed SIOP and GLAD training, or equivalent.

Salary and Benefits

2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026-27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized).

Physical Requirements: The role involves navigating various school and classroom environments, assisting students with physical support, and communicating with others regularly. Tasks may include frequent manual work, occasional reaching, bending, or twisting, moving objects up to 25 pounds, and visual tasks requiring focus adjustment.
