Responsibilities
- Aid in the implementation of a comprehensive child development program meeting the Head Start curriculum definition.
- Apply theories and principles of child and parent education within a setting fostering personal relationships, experimentation, choice-making, problem-solving, and social and self-help skill development.
- Conduct parent education and involvement activities.
- Assume responsibilities as a clinical coordinator in planning and executing service and individual treatment plans.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent.
- Minimum Certified Development Associate (CDA) certification or commitment to obtain within one year of employment.
- Associate's degree (AA/AS) or Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field, though not required.
- Completion of 60 hours of childcare training.
- Experience with an evidence-based infant/toddler curriculum.
- Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start.
