About the role
Early Head Start Teachers must be professionally prepared and qualified to work with very young children and their families in a culturally relevant manner. They must have knowledge of infant/toddler development and Head Start requirements. They must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for infants and toddlers
- Implement early childhood activities as directed
- Provide basic care such as naps, diaper changing and feeding
Qualifications
- A current child development association (CDA) credential or a willingness to get one is required
- Must have good communication skills to communicate with parents on a daily basis
- Must be able to keep all information strictly confidential
- Must have first aid and CPR certification
