Early Head Start Teacher
At Arkansas Early Learning (AEL), we believe every child deserves an opportunity to succeed, no matter their circumstances. AEL serves vulnerable children ages birth to five and their families throughout Arkansas through Early Head Start and Head Start programs. We provide transformational learning programs in a childcare setting, offering free infant, toddler, and Pre-K educational childcare/daycare across 16 counties. AEL implements an education curriculum starting as early as six weeks old and provides child and family support services in a loving, caring, and safe environment.
About the role
The Early Head Start (EHS) Teacher will utilize the indoor and outdoor environments of the center to create rich learning opportunities that build on daily routines and support each child's individual development. The EHS Teacher will intentionally create a bond of care and attention, enabling infants and toddlers to learn and develop appropriately.
Requirements
- Infant/Toddler CDA, or
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Early Childhood Education, or
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s in any field and willingness to obtain an Emphasis on Infant and Toddler Development certificate (a 1-2 week training course provided by AEL).
