Responsibilities
- Aid in the execution of a comprehensive child development program aligned with the Head Start curriculum across various settings.
- Apply theories and principles of child and parent education within a nurturing environment conducive to personal growth and development.
- Organize and engage in parent education and involvement activities to foster community engagement and support.
- Assume the role of a clinical coordinator, contributing to the development and implementation of service and treatment plans.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent.
- Minimum Certified Development Associate (CDA) certification or commitment to obtaining one within one year of employment.
- Associate's degree (AA/AS) or Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field, though not mandatory.
- Completion of 60 hours of childcare training.
- Experience with an evidence-based infant/toddler curriculum.
- Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start guidelines.
