Responsibilities

  • Assessing each youth's social, educational and emotional needs, and intervening therapeutically to promote learning and positive peer and adult interactions.
  • Completing lesson plans, IEPs, report cards, Behavior Scales, and quarterly progress reports on established schedules.
  • Participation with a team of professionals, including other teachers, parents/guardians, therapist, and psychologist to review progress, and to develop/implement appropriate education plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Education with Special Education concentration required.
  • Must be classified as Highly Qualified in a specific area(s).
  • Georgia Teaching Certificate required.
  • Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Pay

This is a twelve-month position.
