About This Role

This Teacher position at Happyland DayCare Center in Chesapeake, VA offers $13/Hr. The ideal candidate brings a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred and a commitment to supporting ECE program operations.

We are seeking

• A creative and passionate full-time teacher to join our childcare facility team.
• The full-time teacher will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

What You'll Do

• Use provided lesson plans and STEM curriculum to create a fun and engaging classroom environment.
• Plan activities that promote the academic, social, and emotional growth of children in individual and group settings.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
• Maintain open communication with parents.
• Develop a positive and energetic atmosphere in the classroom.
• Adhere to all center policies and state and local requirements.

Requirements

• Must have some coursework in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or equivalent.
• Some prior experience in childcare or teaching is preferred.
• Passionate about working with children.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude required.
• CPR, First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with lesson planning and classroom management.
• Knowledge of state and local regulations.
• Spanish language skills.

Monday - Friday
