Teacher Assistant-Student Success Advocate

About the role

Under the supervision of the principal or other supervisor, the Student Success Advocate Teacher Assistant works closely with core teachers and other advocates to support classroom instruction. Preferred knowledge in one or more core subject areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies).

Responsibilities

• Prepare class materials
• Correct and record assignments
• Provide a wide variety of other classroom support services

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience
• One of the following:
  • The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or
  • An associate’s degree; or
  • Ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer (may be required)

Pay

$17.24 per hour (Salary Grade 3, 2026-27 Support Salary Table). Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase.

Schedule

5.9 hours per day / 174 days per year
