Teacher Assistant-Student Success Coordinator

Legacy Junior High – 5.9 hours per day / 174 days per year

About the role

Under the supervision of the principal or other supervisor, the Teacher Assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. The role focuses on connecting with students and tracking student progress as a Student Success Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Prepare class materials
• Correct and record assignments
• Provide a wide variety of support services to assist the teacher
• Connect with students and track student progress

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience
• The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate’s degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer (may be required)

Pay

Salary Grade 3 – $17.24 per hour (2026-27 Support Salary Table). Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase.
