Teacher Assistant - Pre-Kindergarten (ESL) - School Year 2026-2027 (Anticipated Vacancies)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the teacher to provide appropriate instruction to individuals and small groups.
• Aid in maintaining a safe environment conducive to learning.
• Aim to maintain classroom management and implement daily schedule.
• Support communication between teachers and parents.
• Assist with escorting children during transitions.
• Help children feel comfortable in the school environment.
• Facilitate transportation of children to and from school.
• Assist in record keeping, clerical duties, and material preparation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment. Educational Aide Certification.
• Ability to work with young children.
• Ability to perform indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to perform activities involving a variety of media or activities that may be physically active.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with adults and children.
